Why do we teach verse by verse through the whole Bible at Calvary Chapel Newberg? God gave us His Word for several reasons - to give us the real truth about our state and His plan to rescue us. Once we come to faith in Jesus Christ it is vital to building a strong believer that we know "the whole counsel of God" and not just cherry pick the verses we like to teach.

We teach out of both the Old and New Testaments. The Old points forward to Jesus Christ - He's there on every page, plus great principals for how to live a faithful life in the Lord. The New Testament looks back to what Jesus did. We need to know the struggles and victories of the early church, the blemishes and beauty of what God did through His Apostles and in believers.
